Artists love the MXL V67Q Stereo microphone for its open tonality that complements close micing and captures the natural reverb of a room. Sporting a gold-plated round grill and distinctive vintage body design, the MXL V67Q performs remarkably well in recording live performances, capturing room sound, or for use as an overhead mic for studio recording.
With so many on offer these days, it is great to have a name you can trust. This item is certainly that and will be a perfect buy. The distributor have added some great touches and this equals great value.

AMAZING STEREO MICROPHONE
I was really skeptical about this mic but for the price I had to give it a try. It arrived in brand new condition and right on time.
It is very pretty, the green and gold colors always attract attention from females that visit our studio.
WHAT'S IT SOUND LIKE?
Looks are somewhat important but what really matters is the sound, what does it sound like? This mic sounds amazing. I hooked it into two channels of a Grace m801 mic preamp. Good quality, single-point stereo microphone
I purchased this MXL V67Q stereo microphone to record ambient sound for a film project I'm working on. It was a bit of a risk, as the MXL V67Q is designed to be used in a studio environment, and my film takes place in the Florida outdoors. I was able to modify my Rode blimp to accept the V67Q without much trouble, and mount the assembly on a sturdy tripod stand. I ran the xlr cable into a Soundcraft Notepad mixer and then into a Zoom H1 to record the sounds. The results were quite good, as the microphone has very little self-noise, and I made wonderful recordings of birds, insects, and other natural sounds. The V67Q did prove sensitive to humidity when I would use it outside of the blimp, but the microphone was fine after being returned to an air-conditioned environment for a few hours.
This is also a very good vocal microphone. I was testing different microphones on my wife's voice for a voice-over project, trying to find if she sounded better on the Rode NT-1A or...
