Is it worth it?
It has to be imagined that most would buy this kit for the power adaptor that Yamaha decided to not include with the Yamaha YPG-235 76-key Portable Keyboard. Considering that this kit costs about $30 and the Yamaha PA5D Power Adaptor, if one were to purchase it separately, costs about $18, one must decide whether the other contents of the kit are worth the $12 spread. First, then, one should look at what else this kit offers: a Yamaha DVD, headphones, sustain pedal and two year parts and labor extended warranty. The Yamaha DVD is really nothing more than Yamaha's attempt to get the owner to purchase a few more products and the headphones are about the quality one would expect to get free while traveling on some airlines. So these should probably be removed from the equation, leaving the prospective buyer to decide if the sustain pedal and extended warranty are worth twelve dollars. The sustain pedal included in...
